George Bernard Shaw was an Irish playwright, critic, polemicist, and political activist. He wrote more than 60 plays, including "Pygmalion" and "Saint Joan," and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925. He was a prominent socialist and a co-founder of the London School of Economics.
