German-Dutch Jewish diarist who hid with her family in Amsterdam for two years during the Nazi occupation before being discovered and dying in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Her diary, published posthumously by her father Otto Frank, became one of the most widely read accounts of the Holocaust.
